How To Know When You Have An Ovarian Cyst Rupture

What is an ovarian cyst? The ovarian lining can develop a sac that becomes filled with fluid either on the inside or the outside of the lining. A lot of women never experience ovarian cyst rupture symptoms and have no idea there is a problem until it ruptures because it grew bigger. This could be a life threatening situation so medical attention is a must. Surgical removal is often the best treatment for removal.

The woman's menstrual cycle is altered when an ovarian cyst is present. The cycles may become shorter or longer when the ruptured ovarian cyst is present. The pelvic area becomes painful both prior to the period and afterward. The blood flow of the period changes and can become either heavier or lighter than the usual cycle produces.

The abdomen may be subject to sharp pains when the cyst has ruptured. There is usually tenderness in the abdomen area and sometimes even painful when touched. The sensitive area will be close to the pelvis area and in the lower part of the abdomen. The abdomen will begin to bloat and the pain will be accompanied by a feeling of fullness.

Digestion may become a problem with the ruptured ovarian cyst with a lot of gas and either constipation or diarrhea. The feeling of constantly being too full no matter if you have eaten or not can develop. Because of this there is no appetite and this is can also result in weight loss. Nausea and vomiting can follow.

Extreme tiredness and make the person feel very sleepy most of the time as one of the symptoms problem with the ovary. In fact, the whole body becomes weak and some lightheaded feelings set in. Disorientation can be a problem at times as well as feeling dizzy.

Feeling stress on this area of the cyst being ruptured and it will affect the bowels and the bladder. The urine flow becomes thin and emptying the bladder gets to be difficult as well. Running to the bathroom often is also part of the symptoms. - 29962
